22nd SEASON ANNUAL EVENT:“THE WAY OF THE DREAM: CONVERSATIONS ON JUNGIAN DREAM INTERPRETATION"

Prior to the annual dinner, we will view excerpts from the film, The Way of the Dream: Conversations on Jungian Dream Interpretation with Marion Woodman, Fraser Boa, and Marie-Louise von Franz. The Way of the Dream is an extraordinary series of films that act as a primer explaining and demonstrating the art and science of Jungian dream analysis. We will be showing Marion Woodman’s introduction to “Jung’s Understanding of the Psyche,” “Jung’s Understanding of the Shadow,” and finally Fraser Boa in conversation with Marie-Louise von Franz titled – “Charting the Unconscious.” The screening will be followed by a discussion with the community and Jungian Analysts facilitated by Pamela Heider, Ph.D., Jungian and Gestalt Psychotherapist, and member of the CJSSF Board.

Learning Objectives:  Following the completion of this program, participants will be able to: 

1. Understand the art and science of Jungian dream analysis.

2. Understand the meaning of the shadow in dreams and in one’s life

3. Understand Jung's theoretical presentation of Psyche and/or apply it (in the

         case of clinicians to  their clients’ perceptions).

Directions to The Riverside Hotel: Take I-95 to Broward Blvd.exit, take Broward Blvd. East past Federal Highway for a half block to SE 8thAvenue, turn right and go past Las Olas Blvd then right on SE 4th Street to back entrance of the Riverside where valet parking is $8 for the day.  The Riverside usually put us on the 8th Floor in the Tower.
